Botanical Gardens Offers an Edible Festival

This summer and fall, the NY Botanical Garden is offering a little something they call The Edible Garden. Every day, the Conservatory Kitchen will feature cooking demonstrations, entertaining tips, and meal preparation advice using locally and sustainably grown fruits and vegetables. Festival Weekends, which will include celebrity chefs Dan Barber, Sara Moulton, Daisy Martinez, Michael Anthony, Maricel Presilla, Bill Telepan, Carla Hall, Lidia Bastianich, Michel Nischan, Michael Psilakis, and Mario Batali, begin 19-20 June with Get Out and Grill. Come for a bbq on Father’s Day and enjoy a day of special events for the whole family. Adults: $30, Students/Seniors: $28, Children 2–12: $8, Children under 2 and Members: Free. I know, I know, it’s not in Brooklyn, but sometimes you have to go to another borough to get the goods.
