We don’t have any dirt or grass in our garden, but if we did, we’d be first in line this Saturday, 13 October, for the free tree giveaway at Brooklyn Bridge Park. In partnership with the New York Restoration Project and MillionTreesNYC, the young trees being distributed for this fall’s giveaway are in compact 2 gallon containers, making them easy to take to transport. You can pick one up at Pier 6 from 10am to noon, though they will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis (100 trees will be handed out at each event across the five boroughs so get there early).
