Come watch the Brooklyn premiere of Life Waiting. Produced by two local film makers, the movie shows a man’s journey from Canada to Italy as he deals with the sudden loss of a loved one. Fall is here and winter is on its way! Learn how to doodle your time away over a few pints of beer in the cozy setting of 61 Local. Professional illustrator and cartoonist Travis Nichols will lead a class on some of his favorite doodling games. October 19th Meet Your Maker w/ Greenport Harbor Brewing Company 5pm FREE/PUBLIC
Featuring 7 Greenport beers on tap, the guys at Greenport will choose a few of their local favorites from other breweries to round out the rest of the lines. Brewers and owners will be in attendance. Nibble on special menu items specifically chosen to complement these awesome beers. Greenport will bring samples of the hops they are growing at Wesnofske Farms in Peconic NY, and our hope is to introduce these hops into a sample of beer via Randalizer or a cruder french press method. Stick around to hear the guys talk about how they essentially built the brewery themselves, as well as their plans for expansion.
