In other foodie news, a strange combo of German and Italian tavern-y food will be the star of upcoming Buschenshank Brooklyn. Located on the corner of Court St and Sackett (where Area Yoga once lived), it is the brainchild of James McGown, the owner of South Brooklyn Pizza, according to Eater NY.

It will offer food from the northern Italian region of South Tyrol (where apparently they called taverns Buschenshanks). They’ll serve mostly Italian/Germanic fare like cured meat boards, pickled vegetables, knodel, sausages and Westphalian ham, and German beer and wine.
As a bonus, they’ll have live bands every week “focusing on German pop and rock but also European and American bands.” Look out for it in the coming weeks.

Think Tokio Hotel would do Brooklyn?
