Whether you want to pick up a new read or just get rid of some of your old books, stop by the Cobble Hill Association’s Book Swap this Saturday, 16 October, at the Long Island College Hospital (LICH) Sitting Park (Henry & Pacific Streets) from 11 AM until 3 PM. The idea is simple, bring a book and get a book. And I’m pretty sure nobody will mind if you drop a few more off in the process. Don’t have anything you want to part with? Tomes will also be on sale for $1 or less. In addition, LICH staff members will be on hand to meet the community, conduct free blood pressure screening, and offer asthma information. All proceeds and remainder books will be donated to the Hospital by the Cobble Hill Association.
