We Will Miss You DUB Pies

Another one bites the dust. DUB Pies, the lovely little purveyor of fresh meat and veggie pies from New Zealand and Australia (hence, Down Under Bakery) on Columbia Street has closed its doors. Hit hard by the economic downturn, Brownstoner reports that it will keep it’s production space open in Red Hook as well as its store The Pie Shop on Prospect Park West. And, to give us hope, DUB’s website claims they will be looking for a new storefront in the hood with more foot traffic. Though we’ll miss stopping by for a pie after a morning spent running the kids at Mother Cabrini Playground, we wish them luck on a better location.
